US 136 Rehabilitation
(Paris) – The Illinois Department of Transportation announces weather permitting; work is scheduled to begin August 4, 2017 for the rehabilitation of US 136 between US 150 and McLean / Champaign County line.
This project will include; 7 miles of cold milling, patching, resurfacing and pavement striping. Also, the repairs of a drainage structures over an unnamed ditch.
The contractor for this $2.6 million project is Rowe Construction Co. The estimated completion date is November 30, 2017 weather permitting.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, restrain from using mobile devices and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
