**Thanks to a one-time grant from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the health department is currently offering free meningococcal, Tdap and varicella vaccines to McLean County adolescents ages 11 to 18. For more information, see this article.**

Immunizations are provided through the federal Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. Children 0-18 who are uninsured, underinsured, those with Illinois Public Aid and AllKids cards are accepted.

Appointments are available during the following times:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:15-11:30 am and 1:00-3:30 pm.
  • 3rd Monday of the month 2:30-6 pm
  • One Saturday morning a month

Flu shot clinics are held each year for those at high risk for influenza.  The following groups are encouraged to get a flu shot every year:

  • Children aged 6 months up to their 19th birthday
  • People 50 years of age and older
  • People of any age with certain chronic medical conditions
  • People who live in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities
  • Pregnant women
  • People who live with or care for those at high risk for complications from flu, including:
    • Health care workers
    • Household contacts of persons at high risk for complications from the flu
    • Household contacts and out of home caregivers of children less than 6 months of age (these children are too young to be vaccinated)
