Preventive Care for Children

Preventive care services include immunizations, developmental screenings and laboratory tests and are offered to children ages 0-5 years. Services are available to children in families meeting income criteria.

Lead Poisoning Prevention program provides early detection of potential lead poisoning through risk assessment questionnaires, blood lead tests, education, referral and follow-up for eligible clients. Environmental Health investigations are conducted by the Illinois Department of Public Health Champaign Regional Office.

HealthWorks is a collaborative effort (IDCFS, IDPA, IDPH) developed to facilitate access to essential health services for children in the care of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

AOK: All Our Kids Early Childhood Network is a collaborative effort between the Illinois Department of Human Services, McLean County Health Department, area families, and local agencies. The program works in the community to assure that all children under age 3 and their families have access to services for total wellness.

Child Care Nurse Consultant assists daycare providers with child health issues. The program is the result of a partnership between the McLean County Health Department and Child Care Resource and Referral Network.
