The following position is available at the McLean County Auditor’s Office located at 115 E. Washington Street, Bloomington, IL 61701. This announcement is for County employees and the general public.
This is a full-time salaried position in the McLean County Auditor’s Office with a minimum starting annual salary of $40,215. McLean County offers a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience, as well as an excellent benefits package including a defined benefits pension plan.
This Professional position requires a four-year degree in Accounting; excellent communication skills required and background in management of government or non-profit grants administration desirable. 2-3 years relevant experience in a government or not-for-profit setting preferred.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who will work with the County Auditor to monitor and audit compliance with federal and state grant programs, develop and carry out internal audit programs, communicate effectively with appointed department heads and elected officials, as well as their staff, and draft reports which offer practical and constructive recommendations for improving grant management, internal control, and cash management.
