Illinois Water Well Construction Code
McLean County Septic System, Water Well and Geothermal Ordinance

The Potable Water Program operates to assist owners and users of private water supplies, such as wells and water holding tanks, to determine if these water supplies are safe for human consumption. Water sample testing kits are available at a cost of $20 per kit. If testing indicates contamination, consultations and further testing are offered at no charge.

The Non Community Water Program
enforces the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act in McLean County for the Illinois Department of Public Health. This program regulates and monitors all water supplies that serve at least 25 members of the public for a minimum of 60 days per year in non-residential facilities such as offices, gas stations, churches and grain elevators.
