Tax Year 2012 Payable 2013 Calendar of Events
- Apr 26: Tax bills mailed
- Jun 03: First installment due
- Jun 04: 1.5% interest per month due on late first installment payments, per Illinois State Statute
- Sep 03: Second installment due
- Sep 04: 1.5% interest per month due on late second installment payments, per Illinois State Statute
- Oct 01: Last day for payment by personal check; payments must be made with certified funds after this date
- Oct 02: Certified letters mailed on delinquent properties, additional $10 penalty incurred
- Oct 10: Payments must be received in our office by this date to avoid newspaper publication
- Oct 14: Newspaper publication of delinquent taxes this week
- Oct 18: Tax buyer registration deadline
- Oct 25: Last day for credit card payments
- Oct 30: Application for judgment and order of sale for taxes on delinquent properties
- Oct 31: Certified payments must be made in our office by 4:30pm to avoid tax sale, no payments will be accepted after this time
- Nov 01: Tax sale begins at 9:00am, County Board Room #400
