Supportive Mental Health Services for COVID-19 First Responders

Effective Monday, March 23, 2020, the Triage Center will begin temporary virtual supportive mental health services for all first responders and those on the frontline of the COVID-19 response, such as emergency room physicians, employees and nurses. The staff at the Triage Center recognize that there can be a psychological impact of needing to continue operations without an ability to scale back, or the continued possible exposure to COVID-19.  As such, the Triage Center wants to offer the option for 24/7 access to emotional support from wherever you may be (within Illinois).  This service has no known end date, but is intended to be temporary while the community is responding to COVID-19 and its impact.

​Individuals who are law enforcement, EMS, fire personnel, and medical personnel may do the following for an appointment:
For an appointment:
  • Call (309) 434-6567 or email mhtriage@mcleancountyil.gov with your name, position & place of employment, and general reason for an appointment.
  • A Triage Center Specialist will contact you within 60-90 minutes to schedule an appointment with you.  Appointments can be scheduled 24 hours per day.
  • Once an appointment is scheduled, you will receive an email with the link for the virtual visit and necessary paperwork, including consents.  Documents will need to be signed and returned prior to the start of your appointment.  Documentation can be emailed back to mhtriage@mcleancountyil.gov.
