At your polling place or early voting site
To register to vote in person, you must provide two forms of identification. One must have your current address. We advise you to register before Election Day due to the potential of long lines at your polling place.
For more information on Grace Period Registration, review the Grace Period Registration and Voting document from the Illinois State Board of Elections.
Grace period registration is an extension of the regular registration deadline. Grace period registration authorizes each election authority to establish procedures for the registration of voters and for change of address during the period from the close of registration for an election through Election Day.
If a voter who registers to vote or changes his or her address during this grace period wishes to vote at the election or primary occurring during this grace period, he or she must do so in-person at the same time that he/she registers.
Grace period registration is available at all early voting locations, the Vote Center (where any McLean County resident may vote regardless of precinct) and your home polling place on Election Day.
Did you know: When you move, you are responsible for canceling your voter registration from your previous address.
