WE ARE NOW TAKING GROUP CAMPSITE RESERVATIONS FOR THE 2024 SEASON!

The Parks Department is now accepting reservations for the two Group Campsites (MRA and White Oak) for the 2024 season. Business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  If you'd like more information, please call us at (309) 434-6770.

For the Main Campground/Individual Campsites, reservations can be made starting Saturday, April 6, 2024.  For making reservations On-Line: Reservations can be made starting at 12:01 a.m. at www.camplife.com/comlara, & For making reservations In-Person: Reservations can be made at the COMLARA Park Visitor Center starting at 8:00 a.m.  Phone-In reservations will be accepted starting Monday, April 8, 2024 beginning at 8:00 a.m. by calling (309) 434-6770.

Scenic COMLARA Park campgrounds offer 144 campsites:

ALL CAMPSITES NOW ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS.  Please register for campsites during Park Visitor Center hours, Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. OR use Self-Registration Dropbox located at the start of the Campground next to the Campground Station building during after hours or on weekends. On-Line and In-Person Reservations can be made for the 2024 year starting April 6, 2024.

CAMPGROUND SITES

  • 94 electrified sites (Both 50 amp and 30 amp)
  • 23 non-electric sites
  • 11 primitive/walk-in sites in the Main Recreation Area (MRA)
  • 16 primitive/walk-in sites in the White Oak Area (WOA)
  • Walk-in group tent camp area at both the MRA and WOA locations

COMLARA PARK CAMPING RESERVATIONS & FEES

Reservations can be made starting the first Saturday in April either On-Line or In-Person, (Phone-In & Mail-In start the following Monday), for dates through October 15. A non-refundable deposit of the first night’s camping fee PLUS a separate $7.00 IN-PERSON reservation fee OR $10.00 PHONE-IN OR ON-LINE reservation fee PER SITE is required. (Reservations for an upcoming weekend cannot be made after Noon on the Thursday prior to the weekend). When making a reservation over the phone, your deposit must be charged to your Visa, Mastercard, or Discover Card at that time. Reservations by mail should include name, address, phone number, and date of reservation, preferred site number, and a deposit in the form of a check or money order. Reservations can be made in-person at the COMLARA Park Visitor Center during operating hours.

Additional Amenities

Water is conveniently located throughout the MRA modern campground. Hot showers and a sanitary dump station are also provided in modern areas. Firewood, ice, and fishing worms are only available during the regular business hours of the Visitor Center and MRA Campground Station. The campground is open year-round.
