Effective July 1, 2019, all criminal and traffic assessments as well as civil filing fees will be changing throughout the State in accordance to Public Act 100-987, the Criminal and Traffic Assessment Act. This act modifies the Clerks of the Circuit Court Act, specifically section 705 ILCS 105/27.1b.
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING E-FILING
In preparation of the changes to the Civil Filing Fee pursuant to the State of Illinois Public Act 100-987, e-filing will be unavailable throughout the State of Illinois, including McLean County, beginning at 12:00 p.m. on June 28, 2019, through 8:00 a.m. on July 1, 2019.
FILINGS WITH STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS OR OTHER TIME SENSITIVE MATTERS:
If you have a filing that must be filed by June 28, 2019, you must submit your filing prior to June 28th. Once you submit your filing, contact us immediately with your envelope number to have the filing reviewed. Any filing submitted that is rejected will not be able to be resubmitted through the e-filing system until Monday, July 1, 2019, and will be file stamped for the date it was resubmitted. The Circuit Clerk’s Office will be taking filings conventionally (over the counter) during the e-filing maintenance time.
