If you didn't receive your vote by mail application in the mail last week, you should very soon. Illinois law requires that election authorities mail a vote by mail application to every registered voter in its jurisdiction. Following statute, our office mailed an application to every registered voter in McLean County with the exception of Bloomington residents. Those living in Bloomington city limits vote with the Bloomington Election Commission.
If you submitted a vote by mail application by printing and mailing one from our website, or be completing the online vote by mail application, you can discard the one mailed to you. There is no need to submit more than one application as only the first one will be processed.
During the 2020 Presidential Election, a number of organizations mailed vote by mail applications to voters which caused a fair amount of confusion. We encourage you to complete and submit the vote by mail application from our office and discard any others you may receive.
If you have questions, don't hesitate to call our office at 309-888-4035 or use the "Contact Us" link on our website to submit a question.
